Water and Soap for life Water shortage in many parts of the country has continued to wreak havoc among many Kenyans, especially those living in poor neighborhoods or arid and semi-arid regions, which endangers the lives of people in these areas.
With the country combating the coronavirus disease pandemic, Big 5 Centre is distributing water in the Slums of Nairobi to make sure that residents get access to adequate and clean water for for domestic use and wash their hands oftenly during this time to stop the spread of Covid-19.
We install hand-washing stations in public places, children homes and Churches.
We also maintain the hand washing stations by refilling them with Soap and water every week for free.
We also enlighten the slum dwellers on adhering with government directives to fight the pandemic which includes, hand washing with clean water and soap, Wearing of Masks and Keeping of social distance.
Among beneficiaries are residnets of Komarock, Humama Slum, Kianda, Soweto and Kanguruwe
Together, we shall overcome!
